About the original:
With more than 52,000 units produced between 1941 and 1945, the Bedford QL three-ton truck was one of the most numerous British vehicles in World War II. Designed either as a multi-purpose truck or as a unit transporter, the QL was powered by a 72-liter, six-cylinder, six-cylinder petrol engine that allowed it to travel at a top speed of 61 km / h. Thanks to its large ground clearance, off-road tires and a four-speed transmission transmitting power to all four wheels, which was located in the middle of the chassis (with a total of 8 forward gears), the QL had excellent off-road mobility. Many enthusiasts still use many of these cars today.
